Charlotte MacLeod
Charlotte Matilde MacLeod wurde 1922 in New
Brunswick, Kanada
geboren und wuchs in Massachusetts, USA, auf. Sie studierte am Boston Art
Institute und arbeitete danach kurze Zeit als Bibliothekarin und Werbetexterin.
1964 begann sie, Detektivromane für Jugendliche zu veröffentlichen, 1978
erschien der erste Balaclava- Band, 1979 der erste aus der Boston - Serie. Sie
starb am 15.01.2005.
Charlotte MacLeods erste Serienhelden sind
Peter Shandy, ein Professor für Botanik am Balaclava College und seine Ehefrau
Helen, eine Bibliothekarin.
Sarah Kelling und Max Bittersohn,
Privatdetektive in Boston, bilden das zweite Serienpaar von Charlotte MacLeod.
